BrusselsOne of the government buildings at the "other end" of the park from the royal palace (we didn't get to go into the palace. The king wasn't home. The nerve.) You can see a bit of the main fountain to the left. The park was under serious reconstruction. Even now, it is a pleasant place to be. It reminded me of a number of Impressionist paintings. Shooting through the fountain, I spotted these two ladies. For some reason, I got fascinated by people sitting on benches and on the grass around this fountain. Don't ask me why, I might tell you. I told you the park made me think of the Impressionists... I like lampposts too... For some reason, this picture strikes me as typically Belgian. The houses are obviously old but they are covered in satellite dishes. There is a very different way of thinking about the past in Belgium, where the past is all around.
